The Sworn Translation of a contract is essential when it needs legal validity in a country whose official language is not the same as that of the contract.
Official Sworn Translation
A Sworn Official Translation is a special translation that can only be carried out by a Sworn Translator authorised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE), who will seal the translation making it 100% valid in all of Spain.

A contract is an agreement between two or more people (parties of the contract), that are bound by virtue of it and which therefore regulates their relations relating to a certain purpose or thing.

Do I need a Sworn Translation of a Contract?
In reality, you will always need a Sworn Translation of a contract if it is written in a language different to the official language of the country that has asked for said contract. For example, if you have to present a contract in Spain that is originally written in Italian, you will probably need to have a Sworn Translation of this contract into Spanish.
